The AI here is erratic at best, abysmal at worst. Iniesta and Pique are colossal names to have attached to eFootball, but their studio time appears to have been spent solely focussing on individual behaviors – with Konami seemingly forgetting the nuances of 11-a-side team intelligence. But like watching your team notch a consolation goal in a 1-5 defeat, the joy in these moments is fleeting.

At the back, holding off an attacking winger with a perfectly timed press of L2 – putting yourself between opponent and ball – is satisfying too. Sensitivity of the R2 button is used well: the harder you push, the further you knock the ball ahead of you, and beating a defender with a deft nudge feels good. Sure enough, one-to-one battles serve up occasional enjoyment. With Konami utilizing the Unreal Engine for the first time, two Spanish World Cup winners, Andres Iniesta and Gerard Pique, were consulted during development in order to fine-tune dribbling and defensive mechanics.

I can confirm that it doesn’t fare much better on console, although there’s a sizable dollop of recency bias to social media claims of it being the worst football game ever made. Overall eFootball 2002 is classed as ‘Overwhelmingly Negative’, and by some metrics, it’s the worst Steam release of all time. Of the 16,000+ user reviews so far, just 10% are positive. You’ve likely heard about the Steam feedback by now.

However, it’s still an amazingly polished game.Platforms: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC It does have a bit of a hiccup when it comes to its online campaign, and it doesn’t have as star-studded a roster as the FIFA games. It has extremely realistic graphics coupled with solid controls and fluid movement. Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 has everything that could make it a decent follow-up to older PES games. It also won’t justify the game’s exorbitant price.

However, since its main attraction is online competitive play, being confined to offline games reduces the reasons to get PES 2019. For players who like offline campaigns, this may not be a deal-breaker. Most players have difficulty playing the m圜lub mode and other online content due to being disconnected from the servers. The fluid movements and animation in the offline campaign are replaced with lagging and connectivity issues when trying the online game. Unfortunately, PES 2019’s offline campaign is decidedly better than its online counterpart. Instead, it offers endless gameplay thanks to multiplayer and online gaming. It’s not meant to be played like a standard RPG with a linear storyline. The PES franchise is built on open-ended play.
Players can also get Philippe Coutinho, premium agents, and more in the PES 2019 m圜lub. The player can get David Beckham into their team although his involvement is limited depending on the game edition. Probably the most exciting addition to Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 is David Beckham’s inclusion in the PES 2019 m圜lub. PES 2019 also has what they call Magic Moments where player individuality has been improved thanks to the addition of 11 new skill traits including no-look pass, control loop, rising shot, and more. Unlike it's older iterations, PES 2019 gives players more freedom in terms of movement which makes it feel more realistic and lifelike. While the previous Pro Evolution Soccer games have always been great in terms of graphics and controls, PES 2019 polishes these aspects by adding improved passing mechanics and a wider variety of kick and pass animations. Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 takes this premise and makes it even better.
